In May 2019, Interskill collaborated with the Open Mainframe Project, to release its first Zowe Foundations online course. Even in 2019, this was a priority addition to our 300+ mainframe courses. We knew just how important Zowe was going to be!
IBM began awarding a “Basics for Zowe” IBM digital credential for the completion of this course, and as part of Interskill’s commitment to Zowe and open source, we made this course and badge free and accessible to anyone around the world. Since the launch of this, we’ve awarded more than 7,000 badges and IBM’s Zowe digital badge has become the single most awarded digital credential for mainframe training! I hope the Zowe community is proud because this is no easy feat.
For Zowe’s 5th Anniversary, the Open Mainframe Project and Interskill are announcing an updated course and a new “Fundamentals for Zowe“ Open Mainframe Project digital badge. Happy Anniversary!
