Rahat is a 19-year-old open source enthusiast making meaningful contributions to the community. In his first year of college, he was selected for the Linux Foundation Mentorship Program (LFX’24) and now works as a contractor for OMP under the Linux Foundation. Currently pursuing a B-Tech in Computer Science Engineering with a focus on AI/ML, Rahat maintains strong academic performance while actively participating in open source projects. He’s contributed to numerous respected organizations and recently joined the Open Mainframe Project (OMP) as an ambassador. His journey with OMP evolved from LFX mentee to contractor. Beyond coding, Rahat is passionate about tech content creation. His YouTube channel has garnered over 1.5 million impressions where he hosts podcasts with industry leaders, including IBM’s CTO. He’s building the “1stSemCoder” community to help students navigate their early coding journey, leveraging his experience in software development to create accessible educational content. As a digital creator, Rahat bridges technical knowledge with engaging storytelling, making complex concepts approachable for beginners while fostering an inclusive open source community.

Richelle Anne Craw is a Software Engineer at Beta Systems Software. She has over 15 years of mainframe experience, including application development in z/OS, business analysis, software consulting, production support, systems operations, software provisioning using z/OSMF, and development for Zowe Explorer. In her current role, she enjoys developing new solutions for modern mainframe developers and advocating for them in her daily work.

With 25+ years of experience in cloud, hardware, services and software along across multiple industries, I engage with senior leaders in large organisations, new emerging vendors and the major Tech vendors to define strategy and provide engaging content and advisory services. He is  currently an ambassador of the Open Mainframe Project and played a key role in launching the  Linux Foundation collaborative project in 2015. He has been the host of the “I am a Mainframe” podcast since 2015.
