    The Open Mainframe Project was founded in 2015, as a focal point for deployment and use of Linux and Open Source in a mainframe computing environment.

    Composed of members both appointed and elected on a yearly basis, the board is responsible for overseeing business decisions and overall direction for the project.
  - Ambassadors
    Ambassadors are individuals who are passionate about mainframe technology, recognized for their expertise and are willing to help others learn about it and the community.
  - Technical Advisory Council
    The TAC directs and coordinates the activities and investments made in the technical community, providing a home and infrastructure for open source projects supporting the mainframe.
